If your phone has NFC (if you use Apple Pay or Google Wallet, then it most definitely does), you can hold it up to your phone and see the magic!
The images below show the approximate location when scanning NFC. It's important to have your phone unlocked when trying to scan. You may have to get the product that has NFC fairly close if there is a layer or two of leather or material in between the tag and your phone.
Okay, cool! You can read it. You can leave it at that and whenever you want to check on the shop, blog or Instagram, you can just scan the tag from your phone.
You can add your own link or contact information
There's a bunch of free apps on the app stores for both Android and iPhone. I won't go into details on a specific app, but here are some general tidbits.
- Generic NFC reading only works for one thing at a time! So if you add an entry for 5 links and 10 contacts, only the first one will be available when read.
- If you're more technical, you can set up interactions with smart lights!
- These work great for sharing links to your business or website.
- You can use NFC to share your contact information via tapping.
- You can set up connecting to WiFi or Bluetooth to a specific device.
- If you own a business and want to collect reviews you can add your link to review your service or business and have customers tap your product to fill out a review.
You can get really creative with NFC and we really hope you enjoy your product from us! Thanks so much for reading and supporting our small business.
Thanks,
